Course Overview
The Building & Construction course at Northern Uganda Youth Development Center is designed to prepare learners for hands-on roles in the construction industry. The program provides foundational and intermediate skills in bricklaying, carpentry basics, concrete mixing, site surveying, scaffolding, and structural work. Learners also gain exposure to workplace safety, construction tools, cost estimation, and modern building materials.
Through practical workshop sessions and supervised field projects, trainees develop the competence required to participate in real-world construction sites, support local building projects, and contribute to sustainable infrastructure development in their communities.
